DR. JONATHAN SCHARF: Currently anybody can call themselves a cosmetic dentist. And I really think it is important that the public know that they should be really careful and a good consumer, a wise consumer when choosing a cosmetic dentist. Credentials are critical. Credentials will tell you the experience level of a cosmetic dentist and have they proven themselves to be truly a clinically good cosmetic dentist.
I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. More recently, I have become an accredited fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. I am certified by the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry and I’ve received my fellowship in the International Academy for Dental Facial Aesthetics.
