DR. DAVID J. KOPECKI: As a prosthodontist, the part of the training or most of the training as a prosthodontist is not procedural. It is an understanding of the complexities of the bite, of function. It is the training of the prosthodontist that allows them that extra knowledge to be able to restore and replace the teeth as a whole and restore function back to what it should be. I feel that it behooves someone to look and search out a prosthodontist to come see me if they have needs that are more than just replacing, you know, one tooth or if they have an ongoing problem that needs to be addressed.
