DR. DAVID J. KOPECKI: I am Dr. David Kopecki. I am a prosthodontist here at the Exton Dental Health Group and Pennsylvania Center for Cosmetic Dentistry. A prosthodontist is a specialist in advanced restorative dentistry. Advanced restorative dentistry encompasses the use of dentures, implants, partial dentures, combinations of such, crowns, bridge work, to restore or rehabilitate someone who has either a broken down or a poor dentition who does not feel good about themselves, we can help them with the use of all these modalities. My favorite part is working with the patients, seeing them turn from being insecure, being self-conscious, and after we are complete with the process, having them smile. When a patient comes to see me and they have not seen a dentist in 20 years, the magnitude of the problems are pretty big. Getting them out of pain, that is the part that I feel really good about and just seeing that reaction it is all worth it.
