Dr. Scharf uses da Vinci veneers to transform dull, damaged teeth into dazzling smiles. da Vinci veneers fit closely over the teeth, creating a natural, healthy appearance.

What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Dental veneers are ultra-thin laminates, typically made of porcelain, that dentists like Dr. Scharf bond to the tooth surface to obscure aesthetic imperfections like discoloration, chips, cracks, small gaps, and minor misalignment. da Vinci veneers, in particular, produce beautiful, long-lasting results that look and feel virtually indistinguishable from the natural tooth surface.

As a world-renowned cosmetic dentist, Dr. Scharf has the unparalleled expertise and finely honed artistic eye necessary to create phenomenal smile makeovers with porcelain dental veneers. If you live in Exton, West Chester, The Main Line, Philadelphia, or a nearby community, you can contact our office to begin the process of transforming your smile with veneers today.

See Veneers in Action

For so many years I was scared to go the dentist, one out of fear and two out of embarrassment. I finally made my appointment with Dr Scharf and that day changed my life. Dr. Scharf communicated every step and made me feel very comfortable. I was really impressed that he made every effort to make sure that my partial was perfect for me, making sure every detail was to his exact liking. That meant a lot to me, to know that he was taking that time for me. I cannot thank Dr Scharf for making me SMILE again. The whole staff at the office are amazing. I love my new smile.

What to Expect at Your Consultation

During your veneers consultation, Dr. Scharf will examine your teeth, ask about your cosmetic goals, and answer all of your questions. To determine your candidacy for veneers, he will evaluate:

  • Your Oral Health: To qualify for dental veneers, patients should be free of gum disease, dental decay, or other oral health issues. If needed, we can work with you to improve your oral health before proceeding with veneers.
  • Your Existing Enamel: To support a veneer, a tooth must have a sufficient amount of natural enamel. If too much enamel has worn away, you may be better suited for a dental crown or bonding.

If veneers are not right for you, Dr. Scharf will honestly say so, and may recommend an alternative like teeth whitening or dental crowns. If you and the dentist agree to proceed with dental veneers, we may be able to start prepping your teeth right then and there.

How Are Veneers Placed? Dental Veneers Step-by-Step

The veneers process usually takes a few weeks. If you'd like, we can expedite the fabrication of your veneers so that your final results can be achieved within one week of your initial appointment.

Tooth Preparation

Each tooth that will receive a veneer must be minimally modified. Dr. Scharf will remove a thin layer of enamel from each treated tooth to ensure that the veneers will lie flush alongside adjacent teeth.

Impressions

After removing the enamel, we will take impressions of your modified bite. We will then send these impressions to the da Vinci Dental Studios lab.

Fabrication

At the lab, Dr. Scharf's trusted, hand-picked ceramist will craft your unique veneers out of the finest dental porcelain. Because he uses the impressions of your bite as a reference, each veneer should fit perfectly over each treated tooth.

Placement

Once we have received your hand-crafted veneers at our office in Exton, PA, you will return for a second appointment so Dr. Scharf can attach them. He will use durable bonding material to affix each individual veneer to the treated tooth. You will leave our office with a noticeably brighter, healthier-looking smile.

Life with Dental Veneers

Once your veneers are in place, you will care for them just like you care for your natural teeth. Brush and floss daily, and make sure that you attend your biannual dental checkups.

Veneers are strong, but not indestructible. To make sure your veneers last as long as possible, avoid bad habits like chewing on ice, pens, or your nails.

Dr Kopecki did veneers for my son and we could not be more thrilled with the way they turned out. He worked with us every step of the way until the timing was right and they are beautiful! We would highly recommend him to anyone! Not only is he professional but he’s compassionate and kind. My son damaged his front teeth several years ago playing his sport and Dr Kopecki took great care of him and now he has a perfect smile once again!
